City Hospital is a busy place with emergencies being constantly rushed in. Never fear however for Doctor Glenda and Nurse Percy are on the case and do everything they can to help. It might be a wolf with something stuck in his throat, a spider that has tumbled down a drainpipe or an overheating snowman. No matter the emergency the doctor and nurse team will save the day.

We all know that Incy Wincy spider falls down the drain, but did you know that she was taken to a very special hospital for some very special treatment? When the Snowman starts to melt it seems as though Christmas just won't be the same but the very special emergency treatment at the hospital might just help. Then there is the Wolf who seems to have something, or is it someone stuck in his throat... Curing these patients is all in a day's work for Doctor Glenda and Nurse Percy!

With full colour illustration from start to finish these three titles form the beginning of a new series that are perfect for Key Stage 1 readers.

Urgency Emergency is a series of madcap reading books that combine lively writing, humour, and bright illustration, along with traditional nursery and fairy stories to capture a child's imagination build confidence and develop communication skills. The books combine fast paced action with serious messages about overcoming fears and co-operation as well as reassuring the reader that doctors are there to help.

Whilst not an official reading scheme they would make a good companion to series such as Blue Bananas and Reading Tree for young children and their parents looking for something a little out of the ordinary.
