Pongwiffy is back on track, or so she thinks! Her well known love of sweets and skunk stew are playing havoc with her health and well being, and after some consideration she decides that what Witchway Wood needs is an Olympic games, in order to get her and the rest of the witch clan back in shape. Despite her good intentions and self-discipline her grand scheme does not go quite according to plan!
Pongwiffy's lack of personal hygiene never affects her confidence and ability to apply herself forcefully to the task in hand. Not only does she make the King hand over his cherished garden for the Olympics but she also stalks her favourite celebrity, Scott Sinister, and demands that he be the judge of the momentous event.
Alongside her antics of falling out with her best friend, Sharkadder, and her need for daily counsel from her pet familiar, Hugo, she exudes all the usual charm that makes the discourse so engaging. Kaye Umansky provides a carnivalesque narrative that avoids didacticism, as through her protagonist's overpowering desire to raid the sweet shop, Pongwiffy gives in to temptation. However, in doing so, she displays a very human trait!
